Jim Ives, PDG 6400
Regional RI Membership Coordinator, Zone 28
Jim Ives is a member of the Dearborn Rotary Club, Dearborn, MI.,
having joined the club in 1991. He has served the club in many
capacities, and was their Club President 1997-98.
Jim has also served District 6400 in a number of ways. He has
worked on several District Conference Committees in a variety of
roles, and is the currently the 2008 District 6400 Conference chair.
In addition, he has served District 6400 as Assistant Governor, Chairman of the Alumni
committee, Chairman of Club Service committee, Coordinator of the Programs of The
Rotary Foundation, Chairman of the Rotary Foundation committee, member of the
Nominating committee, and Chairman of the District 6400 Foundation. He and Diane
Ives also served as District 6400 Rotary University Deans, coordinating all special
training for the district outside of PETS and the District Assembly.
Jim just recently completed his term as the Centennial District Governor of District 6400,
Trainer at the Zone meeting in Niagara training District Trainers, International Trainer in
San Diego for incoming District Governors for the 2007/08 Rotary year, and serves
currently as a Regional Rotary International Membership Coordinator for Zone 28.
Jim traveled to Nigeria in 2001 to participate in their National Immunization Days, as
well as traveling to South Africa to attend the African Presidential Conference
addressing the needs of African Rotarians. Jim and Diane have attended 5 Rotary
International conventions together.
Jim is Executive Vice President/co-owner of Rose Pest Solutions and served as
President of the Michigan Pest Control Association for two years. He also served as a
soccer coach and assistant Boy Scout Troop leader. He is a graduate of Lake Forest
College, earning a BA in Economics. Jim and Diane have been married for 25 years
and have 2 sons. They are both Paul Harris Fellows and Benefactors to the Foundation.
